Tour overview

Rafting constitutes a significant component of river tourism in Nepal. Prior to the surge in the tourism industry, rivers held a sacred status, and the concept of revelry in the water was not commonplace among the general Nepalese population. It has now become a burgeoning adventure activity industry in Nepal. Rafting is permitted in all of Nepal’s rivers, though some disruption has been noted due to the construction of dams and weirs for hydropower production. The following are some well-known rivers for rafting, along with their respective lengths and rapid classes:

  • Karnali River: 180 km, Class IV – V
  • Tamur River: 120 km, Class IV
  • Sunkoshi River: 270 km, Class III – IV
  • Tamur River: 120 km, Class IV
  • Kali Gandaki River: 90 km, Class IV – V
  • Seti River: Variable, Class III – IV
  • Bhotekoshi River: 22 km, Class III to V
  • Trisuli River: Variable, Class III – IV
  • Marshyangdi River: 27 km, Class IV – V
  • Bheri River: 105 km, Class III

Rafting is not conducted during the monsoon season from early June to mid-September due to the heightened risk posed by flooded rivers. The preferable seasons for rafting are mainly spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November). During spring, smaller rivers may experience low water flow.  Trisuli River rafting is very popular among Nepalese domestic and international tourism.  Here are some Rivers which we regular operate especially in spring and autumn season.
